What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate, Communications position at INK Communications Co.?
The Associate is responsible for applying an analytical mindset to using software, including AI tools like ChatGPT, to support account teams with research, list management, coverage tracking, media relations, and other foundational communications activities.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Leverages a variety of tools, including Asana, Microsoft 365 suite, ChatGPT, Muck Rack, Meltwater, etc.
- Learns the media industry for their assigned account
- Applies knowledge to tasks and shares insights within their team
- Develops soft skills such as time management and team collaboration
- Participates in team meetings
- Embodies INK’s values, particularly Energy (go the extra mile for our clients, colleagues, and craft) and Effectiveness (results that matter)
- Supports the Communications team and reports to senior manager or director level colleague
- Performs other related duties as required, including participating in INK’s professional development program
Skills and Qualifications
- 1 years of experience in PR or marketing, internships included
- Tech savvy with an interest in using a large mix of software tools
- Interest in technology and/or energy industries
- Excellent writing skills, clear communicator, detail oriented
- Ability to organize and manage tasks and priorities on multiple accounts
- Experience with or willingness to work on teams
- Desire to be coached and to learn and grow in a communications career
- Demonstrates strong work ethic and personal accountability
