Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Industrial Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in product development and design, with proficiency in various design software and tools. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to create innovative designs that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements. The Industrial Designer will be responsible for bringing concepts to life through sketches, prototypes, and detailed specifications.

Duties

• Develop innovative product designs from concept through to production, ensuring functionality and manufacturability.
• Utilize software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Rhino 3D to create detailed 3D models and technical drawings.
• Conduct design research to understand user needs and market trends, applying design thinking principles throughout the process.
• Collaborate with engineers and manufacturers to ensure designs are feasible and meet production standards.
• Create visual presentations using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) to communicate design ideas effectively.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative solutions for furniture design, packaging, and other projects.
• Oversee the fabrication of prototypes, ensuring quality control throughout the development process.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in digital design and mechanical knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or a related field.
• Proficiency in design software including SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Rhinoceros 3D, Revit, SolidWorks, Creo, Maya, KeyShot, and Adobe Illustrator.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in product development with a portfolio showcasing previous work in furniture design or similar fields.
• Excellent graphic design skills with a keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills to articulate ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Base Pay: $57,535.95 - $71,333.63 per year
