Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Engineer to support and execute project-based network infrastructure initiatives, including LAN refresh, Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) and Meraki upgrades, and SD-WAN deployments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with enterprise networking technologies and a strong understanding of network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support LAN refresh projects, including switch replacements, patching, and documentation.
Plan and execute Cisco WLC and Meraki wireless infrastructure upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
Assist in the design, deployment, and optimization of SD-WAN solutions across multiple sites.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including security, server, and application teams to ensure seamless integration.
Perform site surveys, network assessments, and capacity planning.
Maintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and change records.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues during and post-deployment.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware delivery, configuration, and support.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5 years of experience in enterprise network engineering roles.
Strong hands-on experience with Cisco switches, routers, WLCs, and Meraki devices.
Experience with SD-WAN technologies (Cisco Viptela, Meraki SD-WAN, or similar).
Proficiency in network protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, etc.).
Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools (SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, Meraki Dashboard).
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Strong communication and documentation abilities.
Relevant certifications preferred: CCNA, CCNP, Meraki CMNA, or SD-WAN certifications.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in large-scale network refresh or transformation projects.
Knowledge of wireless site surveys and RF planning.
Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management.
