Product Specialist – HVAC Parts

We are seeking a detail-oriented Product Specialist with knowledge of HVAC equipment and replacement parts to help build and maintain our ecommerce parts catalog. This role will focus on identifying HVAC parts, determining which equipment models those parts are compatible with, and working with our Product team to turn that information into accurate, shoppable product listings.

The ideal candidate is comfortable researching HVAC parts and model numbers, working with large amounts of product data, and using ecommerce and product information systems.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify HVAC replacement and service parts.
• Match part numbers to compatible HVAC model numbers using parts lists, manuals, diagrams, and manufacturer documentation.
• Verify part numbers, specifications, replacement/superseded parts, and compatibility information.
• Work with the Product team to create accurate, customer-friendly ecommerce listings.
• Add and maintain product information within Magento 2 and PIM systems.
• Maintain product titles, descriptions, specifications, attributes, categories, and model compatibility information.
• Use Excel and/or Google Sheets to organize, clean, compare, and manage product data.
• Perform bulk product-data updates and assist with product imports when needed.
• Identify duplicate, incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate product information.
• Review existing product listings for accuracy and completeness.
• Help ensure customers can easily determine whether a replacement part is compatible with their HVAC equipment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HVAC equipment, components, and replacement parts.
• Experience working with HVAC part numbers, model numbers, parts diagrams, technical manuals, or similar documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets, including lookups, filtering, sorting, formulas, and working with large datasets.
• Experience with Magento 2 or similar ecommerce platforms.
• Experience working with a Product Information Management (PIM) system.
• Strong research and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple products and research projects at the same time.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Product, Ecommerce, and other internal teams.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in HVAC parts, distribution, manufacturing, technical support, service, or ecommerce.
• Experience managing or maintaining an ecommerce product catalog.
• Experience with XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation, and data cleanup in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience with bulk product imports or product-data management.
• Familiarity with OEM HVAC parts, replacement parts, and part-number supersessions.
