Job Summary:

The Yard and Equipment Maintenance employee will oversee the upkeep and proper functioning

of electrical tools, equipment, and other assets within the yard. The ideal candidate will be responsible for

maintaining a safe, clean, and organized yard environment, ensuring all electrical equipment and tools are in

optimal working condition, and adhering to safety and operational standards.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules and completed repairs.
• Organize and maintain the yard to ensure cleanliness, safety, and accessibility.
• Oversee the storage and proper handling of tools and equipment.
• Monitor inventory levels of tools, equipment, and spare parts, and report when restocking is needed.
• Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and operational guidelines.
• Conduct safety checks and inspections to identify potential hazards in the yard or with equipment.
• Always promote and adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
• Assist team members with tool and equipment-related needs.
• Provide guidance on the proper use and handling of electrical tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with other departments to support operational goals.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electrical systems or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in maintaining and repairing electrical tools and equipment.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and compliance standards.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues effectively.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in outdoor conditions as needed.

Work Environment:

• This role is situated within an outdoor environment and regularly will be conducted in various weather conditions.
• This is a full-time position with working hours scheduled during various hours.

• While executing job responsibilities, the employee will be required to engage regularly in standing, walking, sitting, manual manipulation of objects, tools, or controls, reaching, climbing stairs, and verbal communication.
• The employee will also be expected to have the ability to climb ladders, work from an elevated location, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and crawl. Additionally, the employee will need to be able to frequently and repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.
