Lube Technician

Job Summary:

The Lube Technician is responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance services on company vehicles, equipment, and machinery. This role ensures all equipment is properly lubricated, fluids are maintained at correct levels, and maintenance tasks are completed safely and efficiently to support operational reliability and minimize downtime.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform routine oil changes, lubrication services, and fluid checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear, leaks, or mechanical issues and report findings to supervisors.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure proper disposal of used oils, filters, and fluids in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area and tools.
• Assist with preventative maintenance tasks to extend equipment lifespan.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements at all times.
• Support mechanics and maintenance personnel as needed.
• Ensure tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
• Communicate equipment issues or maintenance needs promptly to management.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience as a lube technician, mechanic helper, or similar role preferred.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle and equipment lubrication systems and fluid types.
• Ability to follow maintenance schedules and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in a shop or outdoor environment.

Work Environment:

• This role is primarily performed in a shop and outdoor environment and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, grease, oils, and mechanical equipment.
• This is a full-time position with working hours scheduled during various shifts.

• While executing job responsibilities, the employee will be required to engage regularly in standing, walking, sitting, manual manipulation of objects, tools, or controls, reaching, climbing stairs, and verbal communication.
• The employee will also be expected to have the ability to climb ladders, work from an elevated location, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and crawl. Additionally, the employee will need to be able to frequently and repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.
