Duties
- Manage phone calls, answer inquiries promptly, and direct calls with professionalism and courtesy
- Perform data entry tasks accurately using productivity software such as Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets and Sage Accounting software
- Handle front desk responsibilities, including greeting visitors, managing appointments, and maintaining a professional reception area
- Organize and maintain filing system ensuring easy retrieval of documents
- Work with families on selecting an appropriate memorial for their loved one
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client questions and supporting client communication efforts
- Assist with clerical tasks such as proofreading documents, preparing Word processing files, and managing office supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of office
Requirements
- Proven office experience with strong computer literacy and familiarity with productivity software like Microsoft Office, Accounting Programs such as Sage or QuickBooks, and spreadsheets
- Friendly, welcoming demeanor
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment
- Strong typing skills along with keen attention to detail for proofreading and data entry accuracy
- Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills for engaging with clients, visitors, and team members in bilingual settings (if applicable)
- Experience with office management tasks such as calendar management, filing systems, and front desk operations
- Technical proficiency in general office equipment
- Previous experience in clerical roles or personal assistant positions is preferred but not required
