- Prepare detailed construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and bid documents using tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid software.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to develop accurate pricing strategies and negotiate contracts that align with project goals.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, gather data, and validate estimates based on real-world conditions and construction site experience.
- Manage cost control throughout the project lifecycle by monitoring budgets, tracking changes, and adjusting estimates as needed to maintain profitability.
- Develop comprehensive proposals that clearly communicate scope, pricing, and value propositions to clients.
- Assist in contract negotiations by reviewing terms, ensuring compliance with legal standards, and securing favorable agreements for all parties involved.
- Support project management teams by providing accurate estimates for upcoming projects and contributing to overall project planning efforts.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and labor costs.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is highly preferred.
