DEFINITION The position of CTE Teacher, under the supervision of the Principal and/or Assistant Principal, will plan, develop, organize and implement a comprehensive theater production program for beginning and advanced technical theater students covering the subjects of lighting, sound, set construction, projections, rigging and stage crew; organizes, supports and runs the technical operations for the site theatrical performances; responsible for training and assisting students, volunteers, teachers and outside clients/renters on the maintenance and use theater production equipment, systems and facilities; assist students in making career and vocational choices; perform other related functions as required. Candidates are required to hold submit a portfolio or proof of experience as it relates to the specific pathway identified in this recruitment. The CTE teacher for this position will be assigned to teach Instrumental Music Intermediate Band and Dance.

Qualification for employment includes completion of online training in the following areas: *New Employee Training *Preventing Workplace Violence *Bloodborne Pathogens *Sexual Harassment *Child Abuse/Mandated Reporter Upon offer of employment, candidates will receive information and directions regarding this training. Applicants must possess a valid California credential authorizing service in CTE : Arts, Media, and Entertainment .
