VARIOUS RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists Journeyman Wireman with measuring, cutting, bending, threading, assembling, and installing electrical conduit, using tools, for example hacksaw, pipe threader, and conduit bender.
- Pulls wiring through conduit, assisted by Journeyman Wireman
- Assists Journeyman Wireman with splicing wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, using knife or pliers, twisting wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps.
- Assist Journeyman Wireman with connecting deenergized wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment, using hand tools. Installs control and distribution apparatus, for example switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels, fastening in place with screws or bolts, using hand tools and power tools.
ABILITY TO USE THE FOLLOWING TOOLS/EQUIPMENT:
****Inglett & Stubbs provides all PPE needed for each job site** (A list of tools needed can provided by I&S upon request)
- Power tools/ladders/rental equipment: pliers, Fish Tape, power drills, reciprocating saws, screw guns, wire cutters, hammers, channel locks, wrenches, knife, levels, cable pullers, conduit benders.
- Flashlights; electrical tape; drop cloths; tool belt, additional tools/materials, etc.
- Electric circuit testing equipment; ammeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, wattmeters; soldering and welding equipment (All meters needed to complete task at hand)
- Portable electrical generators, portable heaters; ladders, scaffolding; small cranes; platform hoists.
- Personal protective equipment (goggles, gloves, hard hats, safety vests, etc.)
Job Type: Full-time on the jobsite
