POSITION: Kids’ Camp Teacher
REPORTS TO: Director of Preschool and Child Care
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age and pass all background clearance checks
- High school diploma or equivalent required, CDA or college credits in the education field preferred
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with students and staff
- Ability to learn and implement new strategies to assist students 3- 11 years
- Strong communication skills
- Physical abilities to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, sit on the floor, and/or lift
- Excellent attendance on assigned work days
- Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, prepare, and implement camp activities for students ages 3-11
- Supervise students in all camp settings
- Work as a team member supporting program and district practices and policies
- Assist children in following the classroom routine
- Accompany children on field trips
- Support students in friendship and communication with peers
- Ability to adjust quickly to meet student needs
- Uphold State of Michigan Child Care Licensing laws and regulations
SALARY: $12.93-14.00 based on education and experience
STARTING DATE: June 2-August 6, 2025 *This is a temporary summer position. Potential to start mid-May and/or transition to school year position for 25-26
