AnalyticalInstrument Technician
As an Analytical Instrument Technician, you will provide comprehensive analyticalequipmentsupport to our customers (internal andexternal).Your contributions will help supportthe QC, technical, and various business development groups.
HOW YOU WILL IMPACT INGEVITY
Provide analyticalinstrumenttechnical support forQC, acting asa point person forensuring Preventive Maintenanceand routine maintenance are conducted,resolving instrument issues andoverseeingrepairsby vendors.
Performquality reviewsandsupport thedevelopmentofQC test methods.
Develop and support plant and lab instrumentation to improve quality.
Use superior communication skills to prepare and deliver technical reports to Ingevity's support team.
Flourish inan environmentwhere the pace is fast and the expectations are high. To succeed, you need to work on several projects simultaneously andprioritizebusiness impact.
Support safetyprogramto include safety activities in all aspects of the job.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
A minimum of a BS in chemistry or chemical engineering,(or equivalent experience)with5 years' experience inquality or analytical testinginan industrial environment.
Aptitude in organic analysis with chromatography (like GC, GPC,HPLCetc.) and spectroscopy (like IR,NMRetc.).
Previouslydemonstratedhigh levelsof initiative, innovation, and analytical ability.
Experience in maintenance/service ofanalyticalequipment.
Demonstrated ability to train others in the use ofanalyticalequipment or new processes/procedures.
Excellent communication of technical and operational activities verbally and in writing, with an ability toinfluence from adistance.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Innovative self-starter with strong troubleshooting skills and an analytical background.
Minimum 5 years related industrial experience.
