Responsibilities
- Setup tests for prototype refrigeration & cooling equipment using various instrumentation to conduct performance testing.
- Conduct and monitor tests, work closely with Engineering team on progress of testing, and perform adjustments during tests (such as adjusting temperature settings, refrigerant charge etc.)
- Document changes during testing processes using Microsoft Word & Excel.
- Prepare test report summaries using Microsoft Excel using templates.
- Learn to use system utilized for recording data.
- Support construction of prototype equipment and test apparatus.
- Follow schedules for validating new product development and other initiatives.
- Operate and maintain equipment and systems used for conducting performance tests.
- Maintain clean conditions of lab area and must work safely.
- Able to troubleshoot refrigeration equipment and/or test set-up.
- Assist other departments such as Quality for root cause analysis, Manufacturing for new product launches, and Technical Services for analyzing part returns, and other field service efforts. Limited travel may be required.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment in a team environment.
- Willing to learn new processes and to be a self-starter is critical.
- High School diploma or GED
- Completed training from a technical trade school is a plus.
- Must possess mechanical aptitude including use of hand tools and various basic shop equipment.
- Basic proficiency with the use of Microsoft Office products including Outlook and Excel. Training will be provided.
- Candidate must be detail oriented, well organized, a self-starter, with the ability to work safely in a team environment.
- Must possess good communication skills, ability to write, and use computers.
- 1 years of HVAC or Refrigeration experience is a plus.
- 1 years of experience in electro-mechanical manufacturing is a plus.
- Valid Universal EPA 608 Certification
- Knowledge of refrigeration cycle and refrigeration components.
- Familiarity with using Microsoft products including Outlook, Excel, & and Word is a significant plus.
- Experience working with pressurized gases.
- Knowledge of brazing processes and mechanical equipment assembly processes a plus.
- Ability to read basic electrical wiring diagrams and electrical system assembly concepts, experience with electrical troubleshooting a plus.
- Previous experience operating a fork truck a plus, must be willing to learn.
