Compressed Air Rental Service Specialist

Location: Washington, PA – Onsite

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM (occasional overtime)

Compensation: Starting pay $20.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications; full-time hourly role

A Day in the Role

You start your morning in our Washington, PA facility, reviewing the day’s queue of rental compressors and dryers. First up: a dryer that trips intermittently. You methodically inspect, diagnose, and test to isolate the fault, then repair, reassemble, and verify performance. After lunch, you refurbish a rental compressor headed to a life sciences customer, documenting your work in our system and coordinating with the team for final QA. Throughout the day, you balance multiple tickets, prioritize safety, and apply your mechanical know‑how to keep our rental fleet reliable and ready for the next mission.

About the Opportunity

In this role, you’ll service, troubleshoot, repair, test, and refurbish compressed air equipment—including air compressors and dryers—used by customers across diverse industries. You’ll dismantle, adjust, and reassemble components to resolve operational issues and return units to peak performance. You’ll bring a solid mechanical foundation; we’ll provide extensive training and cross‑training on rental compressor and dryer technology so you can grow with a company that’s expanding.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve performance issues on rental dryers and compressors
• Perform component‑level repairs, refurbishment, and functional testing
• Inspect, analyze, dismantle, adjust, and reassemble equipment to correct faults
• Document work performed and uphold safety and quality standards

Minimum Requirements

• 1 year of mechanical/pneumatic service and repair experience
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical design drawings
• Forklift operation capability
• Physical ability to regularly use hands/fingers; walk, stoop, kneel; and lift up to 50 lbs (or within safety policy limits)
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Core Competencies

• Proficiency reading wiring schematics and equipment diagrams
• Basic PC skills (Excel or equivalent)
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving approach
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with urgency and organization
• Clear communication; self‑starter with a personable, professional manner

Preferred Background

• Knowledge of installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of dryers, compressors, and compressed air systems
• Experience with electric compressors and/or chillers
• Refrigeration certifications or hands‑on refrigeration experience
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and ability to work independently
• Veterans/Active‑Duty Military are encouraged to apply
