Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Work with high voltage equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks related to electrical installations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout of wiring systems.
- Conduct renovations involving electrical work, ensuring all installations meet local codes and regulations.
- Perform troubleshooting on electrical systems using voltmeters and other diagnostic tools.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on job sites to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician or similar role in the electrical field.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety practices.
- Ability to effectively use hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, and other equipment relevant to the trade.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Valid electrician’s license
