DESIGN ENGINEER

Our US operations are housed on our state-of-the-art manufacturing and marketing campus in Rockford, Illinois. We are currently accepting applications for a Design Engineer.
Essential job duties and Responsibilities include:
Designs, develops, coordinates innovative product designs for the metal removal process.
Generate concise manufacturing detail prints for tooling related to the metal removal field
Create and maintain user documentation (process prints, concept prints, instructions, etc.)
Coordinate and document large and complex projects
Develop innovative products
Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering. We will also consider Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, including a minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience.
Relevant work experience to include any combination of the following,
set-up and operation of CNC machines
manufacturing print detailing
solid modeling (Creo preferred)
metal removal product testing
technical report writing
quality control of machined components
CNC machine programming
Some prior CAD experience—PTC Creo (preferred) and/or AutoCAD
Project management skills
Working knowledge of metallurgy, metal removal processes, and CAD drafting techniques
Self-starter with the initiative to conceptualize and develop next generation metal removal tooling
Ideal candidate will have a good understanding of machine cutting tool capabilities, and detailed knowledge and experience in applied manufacturing techniques
This is a full-time day shift position that may require intermittent overtime based on workflow demands (including potential for long shifts and/or weekend work).
The salary range for this position is $65-67K.

Candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, possess a good work ethic, demonstrate reliable and punctual work habits, demonstrate safety consciousness, and always conduct themselves in a professional manner.
