What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical/Electronics Hardware Engineer position at Ingenix Technologies, Inc.?
What you'll do
- Design electronic circuits and printed circuit boards from requirements, sketches, or prototype concepts
- Create schematics, PCB layouts, bills of materials, wiring diagrams, and supporting design documentation
- Select components and evaluate tradeoffs related to performance, cost, availability, manufacturability, and reliability
- Assemble, populate, modify, and debug prototype circuit boards and hardware test setups
- Perform board bring-up, bench testing, troubleshooting, and validation using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and power supplies
- Collaborate with software, firmware, cybersecurity, and systems engineers to integrate hardware into larger prototypes and demonstrations
- Experience designing, prototyping, or testing electronic circuits and printed circuit boards
- Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as KiCad, Altium, Eagle, OrCAD, or similar
- Working knowledge of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with soldering, board rework, cable assembly, lab equipment, and hardware troubleshooting
- Ability to document designs, assumptions, test results, and engineering tradeoffs clearly
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Experience with RF circuits, antennas, signal integrity, EMI/EMC considerations, or high-speed board design
- Experience with FPGA-based hardware, HDL workflows, digital logic, or embedded hardware interfaces
- Familiarity with microcontrollers, embedded systems, sensors, data acquisition, power electronics, or low-noise measurement circuits
- Experience preparing boards for fabrication, assembly, design reviews, or small-batch prototype production
- Experience with defense, aerospace, cyber-physical systems, test equipment, or ruggedized hardware
- Active DoD Secret clearance
