Essential Functions:
- Analyze existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and design better systems for productivity and cost-effectiveness
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, quality, supply chain, and engineering
- Develop layout designs, material flow plans, and process documentation
- Use data and simulation tools to model and forecast production capacity and performance
- Support capital projects and help evaluate investments in equipment, technology, and automation
- Mentor junior engineers and help standardize best practices across teams
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial engineering or a related field
- 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in a high-volume manufacturing or operations environment
- Strong background in process improvement, production planning, and systems optimization (e.g. line balancing, capacity calculation, etc.)
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement tools
- Experience with simulation software and data analysis tools (AutoCAD, Minitab, Excel, etc.)
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Hands-on, analytical mindset with a drive for results
Nice to Have:
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Certifications like Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, or similar
- Background in aerospace or automotive industry
