About the position: Senior relationship manager focused on delivering financial solutions that meet the needs of infrastructure sponsors across the ING global network. Carry out comprehensive sector, business and financial profile analysis with a product neutral view to deliver multi-product financing, capital markets, banking, and advisory solutions to infrastructure sponsor clients. About the department: The Financial Sponsors Group (‘FSG’) is a global team covering ING’s largest financial sponsor (private capital) relationships by income and exposure. Our primary responsibility is to manage these relationships, coordinating across products and geographies (i.e. Americas, EMEA, APAC) to explore and maximise cross-buy opportunities. This involves leading the sponsor relationship dialogue and regular coordination with leveraged finance, capital markets & advisory, fund finance, financial markets, transaction services and other sector teams across the ING Network. The Infrastructure Sponsor Coverage role within FSG is targeted to take a horizontal view of infrastructure sponsors, both as account manager of dedicated infrastructure managers, and as part of a team for multi-strategy sponsors with dedicated infrastructure verticals. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Client coverage: Undertake senior banker role for infrastructure focused FSG clients Drive client relationships and strategy with senior stakeholders on client side on a portfolio of premier ING targeted clients Liaise laterally and vertically with ING stakeholders, peers and juniors to drive the client dialogue, owning the relationship with the client Supervise and contribute to account planning in order to allocate scarce resources in the right relationships and optimize portfolio management with the objective to deliver on KPIs Organize and set up internal deal teams to drive and coordinate origination Identify and drive cross-buy opportunities across global client teams Support commercial and credit committee applications Identify and promote opportunities in the ESG space with sponsors and portfolio companies to drive sustainability ambitions Contribute to KYC onboarding and remediation efforts as part of overall client relationship Mentor junior team members Candidate Profile: Experience/Knowledge: Knowledge of relevant financial sponsor product suite with appetite to develop in particular fields Experience in infrastructure project and fund finance across verticals including TMT, energy and real estate Network of existing relationships within infrastructure sponsor universe Minimum 10 years experience primarily in investment or corporate banking, as well as financial markets and transaction services Leveraged finance and credit risk experience Personal Competencies: Clear comfort with client origination and pitching skills Customer focus and strong business acumen Solid corporate finance and analytical skills Energy to drive transactions and results driven orientation Entrepreneurial mindset, leadership and tenacity Experience with diverse product suite relevant to financial sponsors Salary Range $250,000-$300,000 In addition to comprehensive health benefits, a generous 401k savings plan, and competitive PTO, ING provides a broad array of benefits including adoption, surrogacy, and fertility services; student debt assistance; and subsidies for expenses associated with commuting and fitness.
