About the position:

The TMT & Healthcare sector cluster with ING Wholesale Banking has the mandate to develop wholesale banking business for ING in these two sectors globally. The sector team is responsible for developing business with clients in these sectors by orchestrating the delivery of wholesale banking solutions including financing, advisory services, financial market solutions, transaction services and M&A through its teams based in Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas.

In the Americas region, the team is based in New York, and currently consists of 13 individuals between TMT/ Digital Infrastructure and Healthcare. TMT is one of the growth engines of the region, which, by its turn, it is amongst the fastest growing region of the firm. We are seeking an enthusiastic team player interested in further developing sector knowledge, supporting the development of multi-product and multi-jurisdiction relationships with global multinationals and large corporates within Technology, Media and Telecom. Clients are typically large American stock listed companies, with annual revenue base of at least USD 2bn, a considerable footprint in Europe and with a credit profile of BB-/Ba or better.

Responsibilities :

The VP will cover both a Parent Account Manager (PAM) and an Assistant Parent Account Manager (APAM) role, will help manage a portfolio of large companies within Technology, Media and Telecom, with the objective of growing the relationship. Key responsibilities include:

• Identifying commercial opportunities for new business, including cross selling of ING’s products globally, in close cooperation with various product teams
• Identifying and analyzing potential prospect clients, within set growth and portfolio parameters
• Presenting transactions to regional commercial committees
• Supporting the PAM in client meetings and preparation of comprehensive marketing presentations
• Coordinate annual credit review of client relationships including identifying and analyzing key credit issues related to a transaction / client
• Proposing and reviewing terms and conditions for transactions / RFP’s, including pricing, structure and covenants
• Assure clients are properly managed from a compliance standpoint with valid KYCs and assist compliance consultants and the team junior resources with customer outreach
• Participating in client visits, requiring traveling across the U.S. and occasionally in Europe.

Requisite Skill Set:

• Strong academic track record with Undergraduate or Masters from accredited university/ college
• A minimum of 10 years of banking experience, ideally in client relationship management, financial advisory, corporate/-structured/-acquisition/-syndicated lending and/or an event finance
• Strong credit analysis background, basic knowledge of credit structuring preferred
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Must be highly detail-oriented and accurate
• Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint): must have advanced excel skills and be able to use financial debt models
• Fundamental understanding of GAAP accounting principles and comfort with core financial statements (Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement and Balance Sheet)
• Fundamental understanding of key financial markets and products
• Basic understanding of Loan documentation as well as corporate and bankruptcy law
• Product knowledge including Debt Capital Markets, Transaction Services Products and Corporate Derivatives.
• A strong understanding of ING’s commercial banking platform and international network
• Willingness to complete the FINRA Series 79 and 63 exams
• Team Player, self-motivated and proactive, and able to travel

Qualifications and Competencies

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering or Math
• 4 years of relevant project/corporate finance experience, ideally in the North American TMT/ digital infrastructure industry
• Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
• SIE, Series 79/63 are required

Salary: $185,000-$240,000
