Job Title: Controller
Job Summary: Infusion Health’s Controller is responsible for leading the financial operations of the business, ensuring strong fiscal management, effective internal controls, and accurate financial reporting. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the company’s financial health by developing strategies, enforcing compliance with legal and ethical standards, and driving accountability across the accounting function. The Controller also leads internal control audits and supports leadership with financial insights to guide decision-making.

The Controller performs a variety of duties such as:
Financial Leadership & Operations
- Lead and oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong internal controls
- Develop and support financial strategies aligned with long-term growth and operational goals
- Implement and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and best practices
Reporting, Planning & Analysis
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analysis for leadership
- Partner with leadership on budgeting and forecasting processes
- Analyze financial results, including budget variances, trends, and key performance indicators
- Evaluate financial risk and assess the impact of business and operational decisions
Accounting Oversight
- Oversee core accounting functions including AP, AR, general ledger, ACH payments, and receivables factoring
- Manage monthly close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, financial regulations, and reporting requirements
Team Leadership & Development
- Manage and mentor accounting team members, providing guidance and development opportunities
- Provide financial training and support to internal teams as needed
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment
Process Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Design and maintain reporting processes and financial workflows
- Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred Experience, Skills and Abilities for the Controller Position:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role
- Strong knowledge of financial management, audit preparation, budgeting, and financial reporting processes
- Ability to develop financial forecasts, projections, and strategic financial analysis to support business decisions
- Experience with WellSky or CareTend software is highly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also managing priorities independently
Classification & Compensation:
The position is full-time, exempt and the pay range varies, depending on experience, skills, abilities, and length of service with the Company. This position is fully onsite at our Ypsilanti, MI location.
