Job Title: Enterprise Network Architect
Location: Lockwood Blvd, VA/Hybrid
Responsibilities
- Document comprehensive network designs that integrate multiple network technologies, such as LANs, WANs, wireless networks, and VPNs, to support the organization’s business operations and communication needs.
- Cloud centric network design, including multi-tenant, multi-region (intra US) deployments and multi-vendor technologies across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS tiers
- Data centric network design for efficient data transfers within the agency and across agencies and with other business partners and public or otherwise external data sources
- Incorporate network solutioning with our emerging Cloud FinOps practice to support cost analysis and cost modeling for networking related cost
- Design and document the entire network implementation process
- Monitoring network performance and taking follow-up steps to resolve latency issues and security concerns
- Creating documentation throughout the design and deployment process for future reference
- Develop patterns and standards for all network designs
- The ability to analyze data traffic and system performance to determine future upgrades.
- Work with our IT staff and thirds-party equipment and software vendors to ensure the network needs are met.
- Research new technologies and solutions, and asses new technologies for adoption
- Define multisite network operations and software applications.
- Train, mentor, and transfer skills to the extended team.
- Works on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge across multiple specialized architecture domains and networking layers.
- Aligns architecture strategy with business goals.
Defines, explains, and advocates technology strategy.
- Assist with communication integrations connected to WebEOC, including Microsoft Teams notifications, alerts, and collaboration channels.
- Support users with Teams-based communication workflow setups during activations and day-to-day operations.
EOC Application Support
- Provide support for additional EOC related systems such as Rave and other alerting tools.
- Offer real-time user support during emergency activations, including system troubleshooting and workflow guidance.
- Deliver user training and documentation for WebEOC and related platforms.
Operational Support
- Work extended or irregular hours as needed during emergency operations.
- Assist with other assigned state applications or technical projects beyond core EOC systems.
- Collaborate with emergency management staff, IT teams, and stakeholders to ensure operational readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience administering Juvare WebEOC V10.
- Experience participating in or supporting migration efforts toward Juvare WebEOC NexUs.
- Strong understanding of user provisioning, incident configuration, roles, and positions.
- Experience with board creation, editing, troubleshooting, and code updates (HTML, JavaScript, or similar).
- Experience with GIS integrations and the ArcGIS API.
- Familiarity with plug-ins, system notifications, mapping tools, and communication integrations such as Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to work with vendors and technical service providers to implement business requirements.
- Experience with both cloud and on-premises WebEOC environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer support abilities.
