Senior CEI Inspector
Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, (ICE) is actively seeking experienced CEI Inspectors to join our team in Florida to support various transportation projects with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, (ICE) is a full-service transportation consulting and design firm specializing in highways, bridges/structures, hydrology/hydraulic design, geotechnical engineering, and foundation testing, environmental documentation (NEPA) construction services, and aviation design. Our firm has grown to more than 700 employees since its inception in 2005 which includes over 80 Licensed Professionals (PE, RLS, LG, & RLA), numerous Civil Engineering Graduates who are certified engineers-in-training, Utility Coordination Managers, fully equipped surveying crews led by a Licensed Registered Survey Manager, a construction management and inspection division of more than 130, and numerous CADD Technicians and support personnel. ICE is led by an Executive Committee and Management Team who have acquired more than 175 years of transportation engineering experience collectively. These individuals take a results-driven approach to meeting the specific needs of our clients.

Job Duties
- Responsible for overseeing the monitoring, testing and conformance of client/contractor work on various projects to ensure plans, specifications, materials, traffic & erosion control devices, quality assurance and safety standards are met
- Ensure all materials, procedures and safety rules comply with the latest FDOT standards
- Attend weekly constructions meetings with the team and generate minutes
- Maintain project files and shop drawings, generate daily reports and project photographs
- Document and immediately report any non-compliance actions and safety violation to your immediate supervisor
- Maintaining positive relationships with clients, contractors, consultants and business partners
- Record daily construction inspection notes for CEI document management
- HS diploma or equivalent required
- Associates degree in an engineering field preferred
- Certification from FDOT American Concrete Institute or National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in FDOT QC/Inspection work preferred
- Nuclear gauge certification preferred
- Experience inspecting roadway paving (asphalt and concrete)
- Experience in earth work and grading inspection
- Experience in bridge work inspection (pile driving, drilled shaft etc.), beams. and bridge deck construction
- Experience in roadway soil testing
- Experience in documentation of all construction documents and forms (such as daily reports, various testing forms)
- Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
- Must have above average geometry and basic math calculations skills
- MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) experience
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English
- Good interpersonal communication skills, commitment to deadlines, and positive team attitude
- Willingness to learn and adapt to the fast-paced transportation industry
- Valid Driver's License and must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
- This position requires minimal lifting of up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis
- Hand and eye coordination adequate for computer data entry, operate surveying equipment, calculator and concrete testing equipment
- Ability to travel and tour work sites under adverse environmental conditions not limited to loud noise levels, high dust and dirt, and extreme temperature
- Ability visual examine construction materials and finished structures
- This position will be a full-time position
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday with some weekend work as needed
