Right-of-Way Agent / Land Acquisition Specialist
Southeastern Land Company, Inc. (SLC) | South Carolina and North Carolina
SLC is seeking a detail-oriented Right-of-Way Agent to support land acquisition for utility and infrastructure projects. In this field-based role, you will work with property owners to secure easements, rights-of-way, and property acquisitions while coordinating with project teams and maintaining accurate records.
What you’ll do
- Negotiate easements, rights-of-way, and property acquisitions with landowners.
- Research property ownership, titles, and parcel information.
- Present offers and explain project impacts clearly and professionally.
- Coordinate with surveyors, engineers, and project managers.
- Document communications and transactions in digital records.
- Follow client guidelines and project requirements.
Required qualifications
- Active real estate license in South Carolina or North Carolina.
- Active notary commission in South Carolina or North Carolina.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work independently in the field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe software.
- Reliable vehicle and ability to provide a computer with Windows 11, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and a printer.
Preferred experience
- Right-of-way, real estate, or land acquisition work.
- Reading maps, plats, and legal descriptions.
- Utility, infrastructure, transportation, or electrical transmission and distribution projects.
- Projects funded by federal or state agencies, including DOT, FEMA, or HUD.
