The Junior Mechanic's responsibilities include performing minor inspections of equipment, carrying out preventative maintenance, repairing and maintaining arrow boards and message boards, and fulfilling other duties such as building maintenance as assigned. - Assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems, lighting, and equipment.
- Troubleshooting and performing routine preventative maintenance.
- Reading, interpreting, and following instructions and operation manuals.
- Maintaining communication of repairs needed to management.
- Cleaning, repairing, and installing equipment and parts as needed.
- Operating a variety of hand and power tools.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Complying with health and safety regulations.
- Performing general maintenance work on vehicles and equipment as assigned.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and safe driving record.
- Trade or vocational school graduation a plus, but not required.
- Knowledge and ability to operate hand and power tools.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability.
- Physical ability.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
