This position requires regional travel across upstate New York and involves direct interaction with clients, requiring a polished and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments at project sites.
• Provide safety training and education to employees and contractors.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify potential safety hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
• Maintain accurate safety records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related matters with clients, ensuring a professional and educated approach.
• Stay updated on industry safety standards, regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in safety coordination, specifically within Transmission, Distribution, and Substation operations.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regionally across upstate New York.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Day-to-Day

• Conduct on-site safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Provide guidance and support to project teams on safety-related issues.
• Facilitate safety meetings and training sessions for employees and contractors.
• Prepare detailed reports on safety performance and incident investigations.
• Collaborate with clients to address safety concerns and maintain strong professional relationships.
• Travel to various project sites across the Central/Western New York region.
