We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team, working out of either our Baltimore or Norfolk office. Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and oversee mechanical systems for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges.
- Prepare detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure project progress aligns with design intent and quality standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and project teams.
- Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring deliverables are met on schedule.
- Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations to maintain best practices in mechanical engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5 to 15 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Proven experience working on a variety of projects; mission-critical project experience is a bonus.
- Strong proficiency in engineering software and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment with flexibility.
Day-to-Day
- Collaborate with team members to develop and refine project designs.
- Attend project meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Perform engineering calculations and create detailed documentation.
- Review and approve technical drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
