What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drill Crew Member position at InfoWest?
InfoWest is an Internet Service Provider based in St. George, Utah. We primarily serve communities throughout southern and central Utah, as well as Overton Nevada with highly reliable wireless and fiber optic technologies. We recently became subsidiary of the Boston Omaha Company (NYSE:BOC) and are rapidly expanding our fiber-optic services. As our company is preparing for rapid growth with more extensive construction, marketing and sales budgets, we need to expand our fiber construction team.
This is an entry level position for individuals interested in working as an infrastructure technician. InfoWest operates a fiber optic network throughout southern Utah. We have installed miles of fiber optic lines over the last decade and we are expanding every day. At InfoWest, our ultimate objective is, "To Provide the Ultimate Internet Experience, one customer at a time". We're looking for someone who will help us close the digital divide and help us meet our ultimate objective. Duties will include general labor related to telecommunications construction as directed by the foreman / supervisor. This will include digging trenches, installing conduit, vaults. This job requires working around construction equipment such as mini excavators, direction bore drills, vac trucks and reel trailers.
General job functions include –
- Site clean up and restoring of disturbed areas, including landscaping areas
- Equipment preparation
- Always follow OSHA and all other safety rules as well as related company policies
- Driving company vehicles
- Able to lift over 75 pounds
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions
- Must have a Valid Drivers license and a clean driving record, CDL a plus.
