The eDiscovery Analyst supports the organization’s eDiscovery and litigation support operations by assisting with the collection, processing, analysis, and production of Electronically Stored Information (ESI) in accordance with established eDiscovery standards and the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM). This role contributes to quality control, documentation, and chain-of-custody procedures, supports discovery and production workflows, assists with data processing and validation tasks, and helps organize and prepare materials for legal review and court deadlines. The eDiscovery Analyst works closely with senior analysts, legal teams, and clients to ensure accurate, defensible, and timely delivery of eDiscovery services in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments. This position is onsite in Lorton, VA.
The eDiscovery Analyst duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Utilizing standardized eDiscovery software tools such as Relativity, Clearwell, Concordance, or other enterprise tools.
- Ensuring complete and accurate project documentation is created and maintained.
- Identifying, preserving, collecting, and producing Electronically Stored Information (ESI) in response to discovery requests.
- Managing eDiscovery production and preparing data analysis reports and documentation.
- Ensuring proper data handling procedures and chain of custody.
- Assisting with the eDiscovery process from ingestion to production of eDiscovery materials, up to and through data archiving.
- Conducting complex Boolean searches and generation of reports in an eDiscovery platform, currently Relativity.
- Processing, ingesting, integrating and organizing native files and loading data from digital media sources into an eDiscovery platform, currently Relativity.
- Daily client contact and working in high pressure court deadline-driven environments.
- Identifying and addressing data quality issues.
- Providing expert witness testimony as needed.
- Performing other laboratory functions as assigned.
MUST HAVE:
- Experience with standardized eDiscovery software tools such as Relativity, Clearwell.
- Must be a United States Citizen.
- Concordance, or other enterprise tools.
- Up to (3) years of experience.
- Experience working under the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and a
- functional understanding of eDiscovery standards.
- Understanding of all aspects and practices related to technical eDiscovery for legal
- professionals and eDiscovery practitioners.
- At a minimum, shall have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University or foreign equivalent with a minimum of 24 credit hours in computer science, engineering, or mathematics. Exceptional candidates for eDiscovery Analyst without a Bachelor’s degree or without the requisite credit hours shall have equivalent years performing either digital forensics or eDiscovery, and have experience with standardized eDiscovery software tools such as Relativity, Clearwell, Concordance, or other enterprise eDiscovery tools.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
The salary for this position ranges from $41,000 to $57,000 annually. The exact salary offered will depend on your qualifications, experience, and alignment with the responsibilities of the role.
