What are the responsibilities and job description for the NC Programmer position at InfoTree?
We are looking for an experienced NC Programmer with strong expertise in 5-axis CNC programming and aerospace machining. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with aluminum and hard-metal aerospace components, along with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and machining strategies.
Key Requirements
- 5 years of experience in NC programming for production machining or related manufacturing environments.
- Strong experience programming 5-axis CNC machines for aerospace parts.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing documents.
- Proficiency in CATIA V5 for NC programming.
- Experience with NC simulation and verification tools such as Vericut.
- Ability to create setup sheets, process documentation, and operator instructions.
- Comfortable working in a 2nd shift schedule.
- Must meet contractor work eligibility requirements.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with custom fixtures and tooling for multi-setup machining operations.
- Knowledge of machining strategies, machine selection, and process planning for aerospace components.
- Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing standards, inspection methods, and first-article inspection requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a focus on cycle time reduction and process improvement.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineering, planning, and shop-floor teams.
- Experience with additional CAM systems or aerospace post-processors is a plus.
