⏰ Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Project Engineer / Design Release Engineer to support the development and launch of vehicle interior systems and trim components.

This is a great opportunity for an engineer with strong experience in Instrument Panels, Floor Consoles, Decorative Trim, plastic component development, and injection molding.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Own engineering activities from concept development through production launch.
• Lead design and development of Instrument Panel, Floor Console, and interior trim components.
• Work closely with suppliers on component development, tooling, manufacturing feasibility, and validation.
• Review and optimize designs for injection molding, thermoforming, foam-in-place, wrapping, and other trim manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate CAD development, packaging, interfaces, design reviews, and engineering releases.
• Develop and review DFMEA, DRBFM, PFMEA, DVP&R/ADVP&R and engineering documentation.
• Partner with CAE, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Styling, Safety, and other vehicle engineering teams.
• Support prototype builds, validation activities, supplier trials, plant builds, and launch.
• Drive improvements involving quality, cost, mass, timing, complexity, and manufacturability.
• Identify risks, resolve technical issues, and maintain strong execution throughout the program.

🎯 Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, Materials Engineering, or related field.
• 8–10 years of automotive product development experience.
• Strong background in automotive interior/cockpit systems.
• Experience with Instrument Panels and/or Floor Consoles.
• Hands-on injection molding experience is a MUST.
• Strong understanding of plastic component design and manufacturing.
• Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA, DRBFM and DVP&R.
• Strong CAD/release experience; NX/Unigraphics or similar preferred.
• Experience working directly with automotive suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams.
• DFSS Green Belt required; Black Belt is a plus.
• PMP/PMI certification is preferred but not mandatory.
