Facilities and Engineering Senior Associate
The Rhode Island Facilities & Engineering (F&E) Equipment group is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of Quality Control (QC) equipment. This includes procurement, development and execution of validation and change control strategies, oversight and execution of general and preventative maintenance activities, and support for equipment decommissioning as required.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Execute routine work orders and interact regularly with internal customers and external vendors to ensure reliable QC equipment support in a fast-paced environment
- Own and manage change controls for new and replacement QC equipment
- Manage procurement of new QC equipment and autonomously lead cross-functional stakeholders to gather end-user requirements, establish validation requirements, and define change control strategies
- Support inspection readiness activities across Quality Control, including site audits and inspections
- Monitor and troubleshoot analytical benchtop equipment
- Lead projects and project planning activities to ensure on-time and on-budget implementation of analytical instruments
- Complete all assigned tasks on time in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Provide oversight of vendor preventative maintenance activities
- Create new assets and manage preventative maintenance scheduling in Maximo
- Obtain end-user requirements and vendor quotes for lifecycle replacement of equipment
Required Qualifications:
- Experience writing and managing Change Controls
- Experience executing general, preventative, and corrective maintenance using the Maximo system
- Validation experience (laboratory equipment and computer-related systems)
- Strong focus on data integrity and cGMP practices
- Project management experience
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Project
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing and presentations
- Experience with analytical laboratory testing and the ability to plan and perform routine tasks efficiently and accurately
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver right-first-time results
- Ability to commit to a 40-hour work week in West Greenwich, RI
- This is a full-time, on-site role
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of Quality or Operations experience OR
- Associate’s degree with 3 years of Quality or Operations experience OR
- High school diploma or GED with 4 years of Quality or Operations experience
