Duties
- Operate a variety of industrial equipment such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brake machines, stamping presses, and flexo presses to produce components according to technical specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production documents to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
- Utilize precision measurement tools like micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy and ensure quality standards are met.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with machinery such as CNC equipment or industrial presses to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment while adhering to safety standards in production environments.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and assist with tooling setup using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for fabrication planning.
- Support quality control processes by inspecting finished products for defects using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles and shop math calculations.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, machine performance logs, and safety inspections in compliance with manufacturing protocols.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating CNC machinery including CNC programming, CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) programming, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and stamping presses.
- Strong understanding of mechanical blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings for precise fabrication.
- Experience with industrial equipment troubleshooting and basic shop math for measurements and calculations.
- Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing environments to ensure a safe workspace for all team members.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges for dimensional verification.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks or other CAD software for tooling design or part modeling is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with welding, assembly line operations, packaging, tooling setup, and materials handling.
- Basic math skills necessary for quality control checks and process adjustments.
- Warehouse experience or manufacturing facility background preferred to understand workflow logistics.
