JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary:
The Assembler II utilizes technical knowledge and manual skills to perform a variety of tasks in the production of three-phase switch product lines. You will work under limited supervision to ensure daily goals for safety, quality, and production are met.
Core Responsibilities:
- Technical Assembly: Plan, requisition materials, and set up sequences to assemble polymer/porcelain switches according to standard work (OMS) and engineering drawings/prints.
- Tool & Equipment Operation: Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, including torque wrenches, hoists, hydraulic presses, cut-off saws, pneumatic nail guns, and continuity testers.
- Quality Control: Visually inspect components and finished products; take ownership of recognizing and communicating quality issues consistent with Eaton’s Quality Policy.
- Safety & Housekeeping: Comply with all JSA’s and PPE requirements. Maintain a clean work cell through 5S/industrial housekeeping responsibilities.
- Logistics: Operate a forklift as required to move materials and production sequences.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience in heavy industrial assembly or a related manufacturing field.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and operation descriptions.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work a 10-hour shift and handle the physical requirements of a manufacturing shop floor.
- Attributes: Strong team player with a high level of accountability for process control and workstation setup.
