Infotech Current Openings
Gainesville, FL Full Time
POSTED ON 12/19/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 2/19/2026

If you’ve ever driven on a highway in North America, there’s a good chance Infotech software helped build it. In fact, 88% of state transportation agencies in the U.S. use Infotech software to manage their road construction projects. As a Sr. Software Engineer at Infotech®, you’ll play a key role in creating and improving the solutions behind the products that have a direct impact on how our nation’s roads and infrastructure are built.

Who we are looking for

As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will take full ownership of complex, full-stack features within Appia®, our flagship construction administration solution. We are looking for a developer who looks beyond the code to understand the "why" behind the business logic; someone who can translate intricate construction workflows into intuitive, reliable software. You will champion high engineering standards, writing production-grade code while collaborating across teams to ensure our solutions are scalable, secure, and truly helpful to the people building our nation’s infrastructure.

What it’s like to be an engineer on our Commercial Product & Technology team

Our vision
We build software that makes our customers’ jobs easier, faster, and less complicated. We do this by learning their challenges, solving problems in thoughtful ways, and always looking for ways to improve.

Our culture
We’re a group of curious, talented people who care about the work we do and the people we work with. On our team, you will find that we are:

  • Curious and open. We ask questions, explore options, and stay open to new ideas.
  • Creative and lighthearted. We believe work is better with a little fun.
  • Relaxed and approachable while also being ambitious and technically sharp.
  • Focused on our customers and driven to solve real problems.
  • Empowering and supportive. We succeed by helping each other succeed.
  • Energized and communicative. We value clear, open collaboration and trust.
  • Always evolving. We love a good technical challenge and use it to grow together.

What will you do in this role?

  • Collaborate with peers, product, and design teams to balance user experience, business goals, and rapid delivery of new features.
  • Write clean, testable, and secure code while adhering to shared engineering standards.
  • Take full ownership of medium-to-large features, maintaining high standards for design and data integrity while delivering a polished experience.
  • Break down ambiguous user stories into clear, manageable technical sub-tasks, balancing speed of delivery with long-term architectural health.
  • Support and evolve existing features, keeping them reliable, secure, and aligned with modern practices while balancing delivery of new features.
  • Ensure high-quality releases by conducting thorough testing and collaborating closely with support teams to rapidly resolve production issues and refine user experience.
  • Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, collaboration, and continuous technical improvement.
  • Collaborate across teams to expand the use of AI-assisted development tools and explore new ways to integrate them into daily workflows.
