About The Role

Infosys is seeking an Associate Partner for its Travel and Aviation vertical. Incumbent has a clear understanding of the business challenges, specific pain-points and key impact of these on an Airline/ Travel client. He or She should be able to articulate the technology trends in the industry, competitive landscape between various North American Airline operators of various sizes and have senior executive level connects with leaders in the industry. Should be able to lead large transformational programs to deliver the expected business outcome of such engagements.

Responsibilities & Role expectations: -

  • Proactively adds value beyond what is expected to exceed client expectations and maximize value added for client
  • Actively listen to and understands various aspects of Travel vertical, Airlines or other Travel vertical business like Cruise, Hotel, Car Rentals, and ensures that services provided meet clients’ needs. Conduct external competitive benchmarking and analysis and develop compelling points of view
  • Have an understanding of Airlines value chain and leakages in the various parts of the value chain
  • Articulate the Airline industry best practices from people, process and technology perspectives
  • Has domain understanding of Commercial, Operations, Engineering in this sector. Create proactive, effective and succinct sales pitches to prospects in Airlines industry
  • Knowledge of Modern Airline Retailing, AdTech and Martech in Travel industry
  • Help in creating a growth strategy and go-to-market solutions for the Travel practice
  • Develop business cases, perform ROI calculations, and develop capital budgets
  • Deliver business process improvement, using our business consulting tools and methodologies
  • Provide program management to deliver on time, on budget, and on value
  • Establishes, maintains and develops strong relationships with senior client counterparts and client engagement leadership. Build and maintain credibility and trust with clients on senior (engagement) management level.
  • Create and maintain a result-oriented and positive teamwork culture within the engagement. Respect and successfully handle diverse cultures and views.
  • Lead engagement team (client and/or Infosys internal team members). Establishes and builds agreement among engagement team members for engagement milestones, resource requirements, timelines and measures of success.
  • Acts as role model and is perceived as trustworthy and honorable in area of responsibility. Inspires team members to commonly achieve engagement goals. Supports and empowers others to perform. Actively contributes to an inspiring and shared vision
  • Capture execution best practices and contribute to Infosys knowledge management initiatives

Operations: Drive and influence the strategy for the digital transformation practice - where and how to compete and ensure operational discipline to enable practice growth.

Knowledge Management: Author multiple articles that advance the quality of client service and oversee practice level knowledge management activities to lead and propagate a knowledge management culture within management consulting services.

Business Planning: Contribute to the business plan for the practice, estimate sales potential, identify key clients, devise in-scope strategies, identify collaboration opportunities with IBUs, and actively contribute to the business planning of the group.

Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain professional relationship with senior and C-level client executives and expand professional network in client organizations. Should be well acquainted with client`s business situation, able to speak on behalf of the client`s best interests, and countering views of the client executives if necessary. Anchor new and existing client accounts, and interfacing on engagement-level client concerns.

Engagement Delivery and Management: Guide engagement; lead project launch to ensure that the engagement is kicked off smoothly. Provide intellectual leadership and active partner participation for the portfolio of projects, review the progress periodically with the team as well as the client, appropriately intervene in critical situations, and guide the team to address critical issues to ensure that the client realizes the business value articulated at the time of the deal closure. Must be active in the details of the program and have a positive impact on the outcome. Provide review support and guidance for the engagement lead, resolve issues escalated to finalize and conclude the engagement.

On-Boarding the Team: Provide overview and guidance to the team lead / team in large programs to prepare the team for effective client delivery. Build high morale and a highly effective team. Position programs for success.

Proposal Development: Lead teams to prepare large proposals and program plans, facilitate Infosys differentiators (like specific consulting frameworks, intellectual property etc.), articulate value proposition, review and fine tune the financials, and lead proposal presentations in order to create a compelling proposition for the client to engage Infosys.

Opportunity Identification/ Creation: Create/identify multi-million-dollar opportunities within existing and new clients using visionary industry knowledge, intellectual capital, background in potential problem areas, knowledge of upcoming regulatory and market changes, and Infosys services offerings in order to create engagement opportunities.

Client Identification: Leverage internal (e.g. IBU contacts, sales teams) and external (e.g. personal networks, professional networks, analysts) channels to identify clients where our services may provide significant business value and help create multi-million-dollar relationships for Infosys.

Talent Management: Demonstrate the ability to attract, retain and develop top 10% consulting talent and the next generation of Infosys Consulting leaders.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 12 years of leadership experience, with strong sales/relationship management/account management experience.
  • Recent Consulting experience
  • Digital technologies (e.g., Data, Analytics, Business Transformation) experience and expertise
  • Executive presence and clear communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Ability to travel extensively.

Domain Qualification

  • Travel related technologies (e.g., PSS, GDS, PMS, MRO, Ops, Shop-book-pay ) experience and expertise
  • Knowledge of travel ecosystems – OTA, TMC, Distribution, Commercials
  • Knowledge of industry bodies and regulations.
