Lead Java Developer

Infosys is seeking a Lead Java Developer. In the role, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle in Java and Angular. You will also be expected to build high-throughput, fault tolerant systems with requirements including elicitation, application architecture, definition and design. You will play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Candidate must be located within commuting distance of New York, NY or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
• At least 4 years Java development and associated frameworks
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Candidate should be responsible for leading and managing end to end technical deliverables of entire cross functional 1 POD team
• Role demands strong proficiency in Fullstack engineering including Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, RESTful APIs, Microservices, testing frameworks (Jasmine/ Karma), CI/CD pipelines, MongoDB, SQL and Azure cloud
• Demonstrates the ability to provide technical oversight across multiple POD teams, ensuring consistency in technical standards and leveraging the expertise of senior team members to achieve project outcomes
• Articulate solution approach to both business & IT stakeholders at low/mid/senior levels, from concept phase through build and deployment to support phase, gain their confidence
• Work closely with client stake holders including engineering leads, Product team & solution architects etc.
• Possesses the ability to think strategically about software systems, designing solutions that are scalable, maintainable, secure, and align with business needs
• Finance (trading, investing, clearing, reporting, servicing, wealth data) domain knowledge is must.
• Review and integrate all application requirements, including functional, security, integration, performance, quality, and operations requirements
• Application and development of standards and policies - both technical and methodology
• Experience to work in a Global delivery environment
• Experience in Cloud based development platforms and end to end integration
• Familiarity with agile development processes and methodologies
  
  

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
