Job Description:
VDOT is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale, complex IT initiatives involving cloud modernization, application migrations, infrastructure upgrades, security remediation, and emerging AI-enabled solutions. The role is responsible for managing projects through the full project lifecycle, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in compliance with governance, security, and architectural standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise IT projects across multiple teams and workstreams.
• Coordinate stakeholders including business units, technical teams, architects, vendors, and executive leadership.
• Manage project plans, budgets, schedules, risks, issues, change control, and status reporting.
• Oversee vendor and contractor performance, deliverables, KPIs, SLAs, and contract compliance.
• Ensure alignment with cloud, infrastructure, security, and enterprise architecture standards.
• Drive testing, release management, training, and adoption activities.
• Identify and mitigate project, technical, operational, and vendor-related risks.
• Support cloud migration, application modernization, automation, DevOps, and AI-related initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
• 5 years of experience managing large-scale, complex IT projects, including migration projects.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience with automation technologies, scripting (PowerShell, Azure CLI), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• PMP, Agile, or Scrum certification/experience.
• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, and Azure Database Migration Service.
• Working knowledge of AI technologies, including LLMs, Agentic AI, automation platforms, and data-driven decision tools.
• Understanding of databases, APIs, application architectures, and systems integration.
