Job Title: Laboratory Technician (Adhesives)

Pay Rate: $25 to $35/Hr

Duration: 4 Months

Location: Bridgewater, NJ

Shift - 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Monday to Friday)

Our client is a global industrial and consumer products manufacturer.

We are looking for an Adhesives Formulation Chemist

• Under the supervision of a Senior Technician or Chemist, the Technician will be expected to perform the following functions with a high level of initiative and independence:
• Formulation and synthesis of polymers
• Testing of adhesives.
• Evaluate, collect, and record data.
• Participates in organizing and performing experiments using established procedures while summarizing and reporting results in a laboratory notebook.
• Uses a computer to enter data/information, including charts and tables, for communicating project results/details.
• Involved in making adhesives from chemical ingredients.
• Prepares coated samples using lab coating equipment and tests performance characteristics of coated substrates using established procedures.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of demonstrated laboratory experience - Computer literate in Microsoft Office products, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols, make good observations, pay attention to details, and record detailed notes/data - Ability to communicate well in spoken and written English- Comfortable and able to work with chemicals while following safe laboratory practices/protocols.
• The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day.
• Associates' or Bachelor's degree in a technical field
