Job Title: Senior Program Manager – Product Development & Manufacturing
Pay Rate: $101 to $125/HR
Duration: 6 months
Location: Irvine, CA (Hybrid; 4 days per week onsite is preferred)
Our client, a global medical device manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead and coordinate strategic business initiatives across engineering, research and development, manufacturing, and product launch functions. This role will drive cross-functional collaboration, manage project execution, and ensure key programs are delivered successfully while supporting business objectives and operational excellence.
- Lead complex programs and projects from planning through execution.
- Develop project plans, timelines, resource requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate activities across engineering, manufacturing, production, marketing, and leadership teams.
- Analyze resource needs, project feasibility, market demand, and operational impacts.
- Present project updates, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Review project budgets, contracts, cost estimates, and implementation plans.
- Monitor project performance and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
- 5–7 years of Program Management or Project Management experience.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in manufacturing, engineering, R&D, or product development environments.
- Strong project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience using Microsoft Project, Visio, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and production operations.
Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience
- PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification.
- Medical device industry experience.
- Experience supporting product launches or new product introduction (NPI) initiatives.
- Exposure to regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience managing large-scale, enterprise-wide programs.
