Job Title: Laboratory Technician (Adhesives)
Pay Rate: $25 to $35/Hr
Duration: 4 Months
Location: Bridgewater, NJ
Shift - 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Monday to Friday)
Our client is a global industrial and consumer products manufacturer.
We are looking for an Adhesives Formulation Chemist
- Under the supervision of a Senior Technician or Chemist, the Technician will be expected to perform the following functions with a high level of initiative and independence:
- Formulation and synthesis of polymers
- Testing of adhesives.
- Evaluate, collect, and record data.
- Participates in organizing and performing experiments using established procedures while summarizing and reporting results in a laboratory notebook.
- Uses a computer to enter data/information, including charts and tables, for communicating project results/details.
- Involved in making adhesives from chemical ingredients.
- Prepares coated samples using lab coating equipment and tests performance characteristics of coated substrates using established procedures.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of demonstrated laboratory experience - Computer literate in Microsoft Office products, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols, make good observations, pay attention to details, and record detailed notes/data - Ability to communicate well in spoken and written English- Comfortable and able to work with chemicals while following safe laboratory practices/protocols.
- The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day.
- Associates' or Bachelor's degree in a technical field
Salary : $30 - $35
