Job Title: Formulation Chemist

Pay Rate: $30 to $35/Hr.

Duration: 5 months

Location: Bridgewater, NJ

Shift: 8 AM - 5 PM

Our client is a global industrial and consumer products manufacturer.

We are looking for a Formulation Chemist

• Under the supervision of a Senior Technician or Chemist, the Technician will be expected to perform the following functions with a high level of initiative and independence:
• Formulation and synthesis of polymers.
• Testing of adhesives.
• Evaluate, collect, and record data.
• Participates in organizing and performing experiments using established procedures while summarizing and reporting results in a laboratory notebook.
• Uses a computer to enter data/information, including charts and tables, for the communication of project results/details.
• Involved in making adhesives from chemical ingredients.
• Prepares coated samples using lab coating equipment and tests performance characteristics of coated substrates using established procedures.

Qualifications:

• Associates' or Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 1-2 years of demonstrated laboratory experience
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols, make good observations, pay attention to details, and record detailed notes/data
• Ability to communicate well in spoken and written English
• Comfortable and able to work with chemicals while following safe laboratory practices/protocols.
• The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day.
