2nd Shift : 3 PM – 12:30 AM

Our client is a large Aerospace Industry Manufacturer.

Our client is seeking a Cable and Harness Technician to support electrical interconnect manufacturing for aerospace applications. This role involves assembling and wiring cable and harness products, following engineering documentation, and maintaining workmanship and production quality standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on electrical assembly experience, understands crimping and ESD precautions, and can accurately interpret wiring diagrams and manufacturing instructions. Candidates must also be willing and able to complete the required electronics workmanship certifications.

• Assemble electrical cables, wire harnesses, and related wiring components according to approved manufacturing documentation.
• Interpret schematics, wire lists, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and step-by-step assembly instructions.
• Perform wire preparation, crimping, connector termination, and related electrical assembly operations within the scope of assigned work.
• Verify wire placement, routing, connections, and assembly details against applicable drawings and specifications.
• Apply electrostatic discharge (ESD) prevention practices when handling sensitive electronic components.
• Follow established workmanship requirements, quality procedures, and manufacturing process controls.
• Inspect completed work for accuracy, completeness, and visible workmanship issues.
• Record production progress, operation completion, and required quality documentation.
• Use applicable manufacturing systems to complete workflow steps and electronic sign-offs.
• Maintain accurate records using approved documentation and Microsoft Office applications.
• Identify assembly discrepancies, unclear instructions, or technical issues and communicate them to the appropriate manufacturing lead.
• Coordinate with shop leads and work-center personnel to support production schedules and resolve work-related questions.
• Maintain an organized work area and follow applicable manufacturing safety and handling procedures.
• Complete required training and workmanship certifications in accordance with applicable standards and procedures.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED, plus at least two additional years of education and/or relevant experience in assembly, electronics, manufacturing, production, or logistics.
• At least one year of hands-on electrical assembly and wiring experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wire lists, and wiring diagrams.
• Practical crimping experience and knowledge of electrical wire termination methods.
• Understanding of electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions and manufacturing quality requirements.
• Ability to complete required IPC/WHMA-A-620 and applicable NASA J-STD-related workmanship certification requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions, maintain accurate documentation, and meet production quality expectations.
• Current IPC/WHMA-A-620, NASA J-STD-related, or other relevant electronics assembly workmanship certifications are preferred.
• Experience using a Manufacturing Execution System (MES), including electronic workflow, production documentation, and sign-off functions, is preferred.
• Aerospace, avionics, defense, or other high-reliability electronics manufacturing experience is an advantage.
