Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care, support mental health treatment plans, and ensure a safe, therapeutic environment for patients experiencing behavioral or psychiatric conditions.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Observe, document, and report changes in patient behavior or condition.
- Provide support with daily living activities and hygiene needs.
- Participate in therapeutic activities and group sessions as directed.
- Maintain a safe, structured environment by following facility protocols.
- Assist nursing and clinical staff with treatment plans and interventions.
- Monitor patients for safety, including performing routine checks.
- De-escalate crisis situations using approved techniques.
- Ensure accurate and timely charting in the EMR system.
Requirements
- CPI required
- AAS degree in psychology or sociology
- BLS
Pay: $26.00 - $31.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36.0 per week
