Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Anesthesia Technician for a 13-week contract assignment in Rochester, NY. The Anesthesia Tech will support anesthesia providers by preparing, maintaining, and troubleshooting anesthesia equipment and supplies to ensure safe and efficient patient care. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, clean, test, and maintain anesthesia machines, monitors, and related equipment.
• Assist anesthesia providers during surgical and procedural cases with setup and equipment operation.
• Maintain adequate stock of anesthesia supplies and ensure all items are sterile and readily available.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Follow strict infection control and patient safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with anesthesia providers, nurses, and surgical teams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Document equipment checks, usage, and maintenance activities accurately.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician required.
• Certification: Certification by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists or other nationally recognized certifying body preferred.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; formal training in anesthesia technology preferred.
• Certifications: BLS certification required (current and valid).
• Skills: Strong technical aptitude, organizational skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a clinical environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
