Responsibilities
- Stocking Shelves: Unload products from inventory and place them neatly on supermarket aisles.
- Rotating Stock: Follow the "first-in, first-out" rule by moving older stock to the front and placing new stock in the back.
- Building Displays: Set up promotional displays, end-caps, and seasonal arrangements based on supervisor or vendor instructions.
- Placing Signage: Update and attach correct price tags, labels, and promotional sale signs.
- Removing Damaged Goods: Inspect items regularly and take away expired, spoiled, or damaged products.
- Communicate effectively with store personnel about sales activities, promotions, and objectives.
- Successfully execute work independently and as part of a team.
Job Requirements
- Education: A high school diploma or GED is usually the only educational requirement.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift boxes weighing up to 30 to 50 pounds.
- On-the-Job Training: Most companies provide basic training on how to read store layouts, called planograms, and handle inventory.
- Smartphone with internet access.
- Driver's License (Required)
