The Opportunity
This position is an onsite position in Anaheim, CA.
We are looking for an IT Platform Engineer who is passionate about building, maintaining, and securing enterprise infrastructure that supports reliable business operations and scalable technology solutions.
This role is ideal for someone with strong systems administration, infrastructure engineering, and CI/CD automation experience who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and improving operational efficiency through automation and modernization. You will play a key role in managing enterprise systems, virtualization platforms, networking, security initiatives, and DevOps workflows while supporting cross-functional teams across the organization.
What You Will Do
Platform & Infrastructure Administration
- Acquire, install, configure, and maintain enterprise hardware and software
- Introduce and integrate new technologies into existing environments
- Apply updates, patches, and configuration changes across systems
- Perform systems performance tuning and optimization
- Configure, add, and manage file systems
- Ensure network infrastructure remains operational, secure, and reliable
- Manage and design system and network growth strategies
- Monitor and enhance complex computer and telecommunications systems
- Support disaster recovery infrastructure and business continuity initiatives
CI/CD & DevOps Engineering
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines integrated with Git repositories
- Automate code testing, security scanning, and deployment processes
- Implement pipeline-as-code practices and Git-based branching strategies
- Support pull/merge request workflows and automated deployment pipelines
- Integrate deployment strategies including blue/green, canary, and rolling deployments
- Embed automated testing, security, and compliance checks into CI/CD workflows
- Automate routine administrative and operational tasks
Security, Compliance & Governance
- Support InfoSend’s IT security and compliance initiatives
- Assist with internal and external audits and client security questionnaires
- Design and enforce security best practices across systems and pipelines
- Support secrets management, system hardening, and intrusion detection efforts
- Automate compliance checks and security validation processes
- Help create and maintain company policies, procedures, and training materials
Systems Monitoring & Operations
- Analyze system logs and proactively identify issues
- Perform routine audits of systems and software
- Troubleshoot reported hardware, software, and networking problems
- Build and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions
- Support server, virtualization, and infrastructure reliability efforts
- Assist users by responding to technical questions and issues
Networking & Virtualization
- Configure and support firewalls, switches, routers, and VPNs
- Maintain networking services and protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S, SNMP, and NTP
- Support multi-site networking environments and static routing
- Manage virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere and Proxmox VE
- Support Windows Servers, Active Directory, Exchange Server, and Linux environments
Collaboration & Documentation
- Coordinate with multiple departments on system-related projects
- Provide technical guidance regarding feasibility, costs, and system enhancements
- Research and evaluate hardware and software technologies
- Develop detailed procedures, documentation, and standards
- Assist in developing InfoSend standards for LAN/WAN administration
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships as needed
- Represent the Systems Administration department in meetings and cross-functional initiatives
What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or accredited compliance management certification
- Strong experience designing, building, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines using Git-integrated tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins
- Advanced Linux systems administration experience
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, PHP, or Ruby
- Strong understanding of CI/CD principles, infrastructure-as-code, and Git workflows
- Experience embedding automated testing and security/compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with virtualization technologies including VMware vSphere and Proxmox VE
- Strong networking knowledge including firewalls, switches, routers, VPNs, and core networking protocols
- Experience with Windows Servers, Active Directory, and Exchange Server
- Basic database administration knowledge in MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Strong information security background including system hardening and penetration testing concepts
- Experience with automation and monitoring tools
- Knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity best practices
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to write clear technical documentation and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with pfSense firewall administration
- Familiarity with Apache web and application servers
- Experience with monitoring platforms such as Icinga
- Experience in regulated or highly audited environments
- Knowledge of multi-site networking and advanced infrastructure design
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure and operations
