Informed Land Survey (ILS) is seeking an experienced Survey Party Chief to lead field crews on a variety of projects across western Washington. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work on boundary, topographic, ALTA, right-of-way, and construction surveys for both public and private clients.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive field experience, and a thorough understanding of surveying methods, technology, and safety protocols.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage survey crews in the field on diverse project types
- Operate and maintain surveying equipment including robotic total stations, GPS systems, and other instruments
- Perform field data collection, calculations, and construction staking
- Download, process, and analyze field data using electronic data collection systems and surveying software
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of field notes, computation sheets, and data files
- Coordinate workflow and act as the primary point of contact for crew personnel
- Interact professionally with clients, contractors, and property owners
- Maintain adherence to safety standards and proper use of personal protective equipment
- Travel to job sites and work in varying outdoor conditions
- Must be available for occasional overtime as needed
- At least 2 years of experience as a Survey Party Chief
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and work on military installations
- Strong knowledge of surveying procedures, standards, and best practices
- Proficiency with survey field equipment and software
