Informed Land Survey LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Office Survey Technician to support our Chief of Parties and field crews. This role focuses on preparing field deliverables, performing construction calculations, and assisting with technical setup to ensure efficient and accurate field operations.Position OverviewThe Office Survey Technician provides technical support to survey crews by preparing layout files, performing calculations, assisting with project setup, and helping maintain consistent workflows between office and field teams.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare construction staking files, alignments, and coordinate geometryAssist with project setup including control, surfaces, and lineworkPerform construction calculations such as offsets, grades, and layout geometryReview plans and identify potential field challenges prior to mobilizationSupport Chiefs of Parties with daily technical needs and troubleshootingMaintain organized digital project filesCoordinate with drafting staff to ensure field-ready dataRequired Qualifications2–5 years of land surveying or construction layout experienceWorking knowledge of coordinate geometry and survey calculationsExperience with Carlson, Civil 3D, or similar softwareStrong organizational and communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting construction stakingFamiliarity with Carlson workflows and data collectorsUnderstanding of Washington State Plane coordinate systemsField experience as a rodman, instrument operator, or junior party chiefCompany DescriptionAt Informed Land Survey (ILS), our greatest strength is our people.
