Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing for travel and local contract opportunities in Everett, Massachusetts. This position offers competitive weekly compensation, flexible scheduling, and the opportunity to provide high-quality care to patients recovering from surgical procedures.
Position Details
- Length of Shift(s): four 10-hour shifts - Varied shifts (630-5, 7-530, 730-6, or 830-7 are typical shifts. )
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS & PALS are required
- On Call: As Needed - There are 6 call teams, so it is a 6-team call rotation.
- Must float between Pre-Op and PACU
- Up to date resume that includes 2 year(s) of experience in Pre Op/PACU
- EMR Experience Preferred: EPIC
- RTO must be included
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures.
- Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, pain levels, and overall recovery status.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered.
- Recognize and respond promptly to post-operative complications and emergencies.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Educate patients and families regarding post-operative care and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable recovery environment for all patients.
Pay: $2,340.00 per week
